The history of Saracen knives began several years ago. Dr. Otepka, a physician by profession, once received a beautiful knife as a gift. That moment sparked his fascination with knives, and over time, he became an avid collector. His passion led him to a deep study of everything related to the craft — from the history of knife-making across different eras and cultures to the latest modern technologies.
The Birth of an Idea
All that remained was to connect knowledge, talent, and innovative thinking — and one day, a groundbreaking idea was born: an entirely new knife prototype unlike any other in the world. What followed was a period of consultation with master bladesmiths, metallurgy experts, and professional chefs. Then came the fine-tuning of details, the search for the right materials, and finally, the partnership with a top-tier, experienced manufacturer.
The First Cut
The process of registering the unique design continued at patent offices across nearly the entire world. A private presentation to industry professionals was met with tremendous success and even resulted in offers from major international corporations to purchase the complete know-how.

Materiál číslo 1 je pro nás damašková ocel se 67 vrstvami. Díky ní mají nože Saracen výjimečnou ostrost a odolnost. Precizní ruční zpracování spojuje tradiční řemeslo s moderní technologií a každý nůž má speciální ergonomický tvar chráněný patentovaným vzorem. Ten zajišťuje pohodlí, rovnováhu a kontrolu i při krájení nadmíru tvrdých surovin.
